Generate a checklist from a standard or requirement

Use Raiana’s Checklist Generator when you need to turn a standard or another requirements document into a structured checklist for internal requirements management or an internal audit. Before you begin, have the source document available on your hard drive in a format that Raiana can upload. The generated checklist is based on the contents of the document you provide.

1. Upload the source document

   Open the Checklist Generator and upload the standard or requirements document from your hard drive. Raiana analyzes the uploaded document and extracts requirements from it. The document you select should be the standard or requirement set that you want represented in the resulting checklist.

   

2. Choose the checklist verbosity

   Select the level of detail that matches your intended use. Choose Brief for high-level requirements, Medium for a deeper result organized more closely at chapter level, or Elaborate when you need a requirement for every clause in the standard. A more detailed setting produces a more granular checklist, while a brief setting provides a higher-level overview.

   

3. Generate and review the Excel checklist

   Start the generation after selecting the document and verbosity level. Raiana creates an Excel checklist from the requirements it identifies. This may take several minutes, depending on the size of the documents. Open the generated file and review the extracted requirements against the source standard before using it for requirements management or an internal audit.

   

Compare two versions with Gap Analysis Generator

Use the gap analysis function when you need to assess how a standard or requirement has changed between editions. This is intended for comparing an older version with a newer, updated version of the same document and for understanding the resulting impact on technical documentation.

1. Provide the older and newer documents

   Upload both versions of the document: first the older edition and then the newer or updated edition. For example, you may compare the 2018 version of ISO 10993-1 with its updated version. Use matching editions of the same standard so that the resulting comparison represents changes between versions rather than differences between unrelated documents.

   

2. Choose the comparison output

   Choose whether the analysis should focus only on changes or produce a complete document comparison in a redline-style format. The changes-only option is useful when you need to identify deltas efficiently. The full-document option is intended when you need the complete comparison presented as a redline. Select the available output format required for your review; the demonstrated changes-only workflow generates an Excel result.

   

3. Start the gap analysis and allow time for processing

   Start the comparison after both documents and the output options have been selected. The comparison is an agentic task that processes the two standards and may take several minutes, depending on the size of the documents. Do not expect the result immediately; allow the analysis to finish before reviewing the output.

4. Review the comparison result

   Open the generated comparison and review the columns that show the old text, the new text, and the delta between them. This layout lets you examine the wording in the previous version alongside the updated wording and determine which changes may require action in your technical documentation or related compliance records.

   

   

Interpret the gap analysis

In the comparison result, additions are shown in green and removals are shown in red. If a section has been renumbered, that change is identified in blue. Use these differences to assess how the evolution of the standard affects your technical documentation and to support follow-up work in your internal requirements or audit processes.
